Can you drink alcohol beverage when taking Azithromycin?

I called the doctor and ask a pharmaceutical technician and they said no alcohol will not affect Azithromycin. They were very confident about there answer.

While alcohol consumption may not effect the efficacy of the drug, it will put extra stress on your liver. Best to hold off on drinking until you are done with the antibiotics.
