I just started taking Yasmin (21 days) three days ago. (the pills are all yellow in color) On day two, I accidently took the last pill day three, i realized i took the wrong one and just took day two's pill. I realized that might have been a mistake and am wondering if anyone knows how to correct my taking the pills out of order. Also, do i have to wait a week before having unprotected sex?
What do I do if took Yasmin pills out of order? How do I get back on track?

Sorry for not being clear and incoherent.
I have been on the pill for three days now and, even with the mix up, I have taken one pill a day. On day two, I took a pill labeled for a different day. I realized the mix-up the next day (day 3) during the time i was going to take that day's pill. Hoping to correct it, I took the pill that was designated for day 2.
I hope that clarifies my situation.

Did I follow that right and you took two pills in one day because you took a pill out of order-it was day two but you took day 3's pill then realized what you did and took day two all in the same day? All the pills are the same if it is a 21 day pack. If you took two pill in one day then you need to not take one the next day and then you will have to use back up for the next seven consecutive days in case this caused you to ovulate. If I got that wrong, please explain better and I will tell you what to do.
Sorry that my sentences came out incoherent.
I have been on The pill for three days so far and have taken one pill a day even with the mix up. On day two, I accidently took a pill that was labeled for a different day. I realized that i took the wrong one the next day (day 3) during my scheduled time. I panicked a bit and just took the pill I was suppose to take the day (day 2's) before.
I hope that clarified my situation.
That makes more sense. Usually when pills come on a card like they want them taken on a certain day, to remind you. My answer stands.
In that case, it really doesnt matter, all the pills in your pack are the same and so are really interchangeable. As long as you take one a day for three weeks then have a week off (or a week of placebo pills if applicable) it really doesnt matter. They just label them by days to make it easier. Some pills, like Ortho TriCyclen have a slightly different composition each week so in their case it is important to take the correct days pill but with most packs, the pills all month have the same amount each day. All you need to do is take missed ones until you are caught up so it sounds like you did the right thing. If you accidentally take Wednesdays on Tuesday then you would take Tuesday's on Wednesday then by Thursay you are caught up and taking the correct day's pill. Does that make sense? I think you did fine and it wont affect the contraceptive properties-you are still protected as long as you took a pill each day without missing.
Yes you have to wait a week. The pills are all the same, so its hardly a problem. The only thing is that you wouldn't have the days to be sure you took it. Any way you can figure out to get it back on track will work since they're all alike. I can't follow what you said you did, I get so confused when you girls do this. It doesn't make any sense to me how you can make the mistake.
Thanks for answering my question. I know it is pretty idiotic of me to take the pills out of order. I just recently started taking birth control and forgot that it needed to in an certain sequence.
