My problem is IBS with pain, bloating, severe distension end of day. Can hardly wear clothes sometimes because of it. Also some constipation. At wits end have tried just about every IBS drug known to man!!! Anyone have similar symptoms?

Hey -- this sounds just like me. 2 weeks on Xifaxan reduced a LOT of my bloating and gas (belly would usually be super round and pregnant looking). Not all of my symptoms are gone, so I'm hoping to do another week of it and see.
Would love to know what your experience was like.

Yes I took the xifaxan and it really reduced my bloating, this was end of august. i have ibs and gastroparesis, so have been following these 2 diets and symptoms have really really improved. i have also lost weight because of fewer choices. I also am converting the waistbands on all my pants to elastic because the regular pants were too painful.

Have tried Linzees and it didn't help at all before that Amitiza that didn't help either the Dr. Acted like if neither of those worked than he just gave up on me. I went back to taking fiber pills laxatives and stool softness anything to have a bowel movement. I was and still am miserable til I do.

Yes I tried both those and it didn't help. I also have moderate gastroparesis so dietician put me on this special diet.
