Can you please tell me how long xanax stays in your system for.
This question has also been asked and answered here: How long does Xanax stay in your system?
The mean plasma elimination half-life of Xanax (alprazolam) has been found to be about 11.2 hours (range: 6.3–26.9 hours) in healthy adults.
It takes 5.5 x elimination half-life's, for a drug to be totally eliminated from your system.
If we take the maximum time of 26.9 hours (26.9 x 5.5), it will be in your system for approximately 148 hours i.e. 6 days, after your final dose.
Your question has different variables such as dose amount, the speed of your metabolism and longevity or how long you have taken the medication. The other anwser you got which im sure means well is a basic formula that looks to be out of a book. One 1mg xanax stays in your system usually6-8 hours but can stay around for as long as twelve and this is for someone who doesn't take them everyday thats like a one day of the week. Never discontinue xanax cold turkey if you tak them daily as you can have seizures, hallucinations, and ultimately die.
