I have been trying to find the chewables now for several weeks and cant find them anywhere and just want to know why I cant find them.I can find them in genric but not the brand pepcid,does anyone know whats going on?Thank You...

J&J is saying the recall is based on a screw that punctured some product seals and everyone seems to be buying that.
Truth: Quality control is low they have Federal investigators crawling through the plant and records, and a possible criminal investigation being contemplated according to this Reuters report: http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/07/21/us-jnj-plant-idUSTRE66K6OW20100721

I have been buying the Pepcid chewables for some time. I buy them in differant sizes and containers. So I'm not going to believe it was a container problem! All those differant containers just happend to have the same problem? All at the same time?

Johnson & Johnson • Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals, Co. (JJMCP) is initiating a voluntary recall of one lot of PEPCID® COMPLETE®, lot number BEF062, and one lot of ORIGINAL STRENGTH PEPCID® AC®, lot number BFF010, from the wholesaler and retailer level. This is not a consumer level recall and the risk of a serious adverse health consequence is remote. The recall is being initiated because the potential exists for a small number of bottles within these two lots to have been punctured during the packaging process. The puncture was discovered as part of the company’s quality control processes.
JJMCP is committed to providing high quality products and we have provided our wholesalers and retailers with information about this recall.
Consumers with general questions should call our Consumer Care Center at 1-800-755-4008 (available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time).
