I am taking pristiq daily and still feel anxious. I have trouble relaxing enough to fall asleep and wonder if I should take clonazepam at bedtime. It has been prescribed by one doctor for anxiety and another for restless leg syndrome.
When is the best time to take clonazepam (morning or night)?

Hey abamna,
If the clonazepam is prescribed just once a day and your restless leg keeps you awake along with the insomnia, I would take it in the evening before bed. That being said, what were the doctor's directions? You need to take as prescribed. If you have concerns about that, give the doctor a call. Did the two doctors give you the same directions? Do they know they both prescribed it?
How long have you been on the Pristiq? Hopefully the anxiety will get better the longer you are on this medication. If not, then this will need to be addressed at your next doctor's visit.
Best wishes,
Laurie
I have had a lot of success the past couple of years taking 2mg at bedtime. It helps me sleep sound and has residule benefit on anxiety the next day. I also take it because it helps my meniere's disease by draining fluid in my inner ears. As for panic attacks during the day, I rely on xanax.
