I take Naproxen 500mg 2 times a day. This is the usual high dosage of this medicine. Unless a doctor says to, you shouldn't take more than 1000mg a day of Naproxen. Taking more can cause your body to have clotting issues with your blood. Your prescription should state how many times a day your doctor wants you to take it.
