The life span of Diazepam is five years
They put those expiration dates on there as a (cya policy). Someone who was keeping Valium and they got wet or moist, they would not last long at all, BUT if one took care of them and stored them in a bottle away from moisture etc., there is no shelf life that I know of. I presently have over a thousand Valium 5 mg. and take one once in a while. They work just as well as they do when they are new.
Hello paul huber. As a rule, its a year from the date the perscription was filled. The FDA uses a year, because theres a very strong possibility that key ingredients to the drug, will have lost there potency. Very best to you,
