I have been trying to only take 4 mg a day and take 2 mg when I get up and then 1/2 in the early afternoon and 1/2 in the early evening. My anxiety has increased and I am trying to not increase to the 6 mg a day. Looking for any advice as to how you may space out your dose. Thank you for any experience you may have with this medication

First of all, why are you not taking the dosage prescribed by your doctor? He/she prescribed it becomes he/she felt that would be the best, most effective dosage for you. The fact that your anxiety is not getting any better seems to support that fact. I would recommend you take the medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you absolutely don't want to for some reason, talk to your doctor and explain why - the two of you might be able to find an alternative solution. Good luck!
Maybe just take 1 at night or 1 during the day if you’re feeling Anxious.
I find this works best for me &
can only really share my own personal experience as I’m not a qualified Doctor.
Find a really good & understanding Doctor.
It took me months to find the right Doctor as most have no idea how to prescribe Medication to treat Anxiety or Depression.
Good luck
