What if my 87 yr old mom has already crushed and taken the 600 mg timed-release mucinex in the blue?

By crushing the tablet she has destroyed the special extended release delivery system. She will receive a large amount of the drug all at once instead of gradually over 12 hours.
Having said that no harm should come to your mother.
She should wait for 12 hours before she has another dose.
