Hello,
Everyone is different, when people ask what is the best medication it really is impossible to tell, a drug will work for you and you will truly benefit from using let us say an antidepressant popular like Lexapro (escitalopram), it may do wonders for you but perhaps if another person is treated with this same antidepressant will not work, or it will make this person sick so many variables, it is trial an error until one finds the right medication that works for that specific person... what may be great for you may be for someone else horrible, the same medciation.
It is important to have a good Dr., one who truly cares and you trust but it takes time to build up this "trust".
I have been on medications half my life, I am 56 and have tried many mediciations, combinations,etc... now, after a long time I am stable, found the right Doc and did go through a long trial an error until I found the combination of medications that work for me, it is the same for everyone, take it as a journey, to mitigate the pain, the suffering, etc...
