Weight changes with Wellbutrin can go either way but the chance of weight gain is less than with other similar medications.

Very common (10% or more of users): Weight loss greater than 2.3 kg (up to 28%), weight gain greater than 2.3 kg (up to 11%)"
2.3kg = about 5 pounds.

I have taken Wellbutrin off and on for many years. I never experienced any weight gain, but like most antidepressants it effects people differently. In my case I even noticed a slight loss in weight. Best of luck!
