I have taken Wellbutrin off and on for many years. I never experienced any weight gain, but like most antidepressants it effects people differently. In my case I even noticed a slight loss in weight. Best of luck!
Hi, Anita! Weight changes with Wellbutrin can go either way but the chance of weight gain is less than with other similar medications. "Metabolic Very common (10% or more of users): Weight loss greater than 2.3 kg (up to 28%), weight gain greater than 2.3 kg (up to 11%)" 2.3kg = about 5 pounds.
I've taken Wellbutrin (bupropion) for over a year and my weight hasn't changed at all.
