After I had a tooth pulled, the doc said it was infected and gave me the antibiotic amoxicillin.
Vancomycin is only used to treat bacteria infections. It stops the growth of bacteria and is used to treat life threatening bacteria infections. It will NOT treat a tooth abscess whatsoever. You will need an antibiotic that is aimed at that particular area.
One issue that concerns me is that you may not have enough for a full course of antibiotics. If you ignore this all you will do is create a more resistant bacteria.
