I have recently been prescribed Valium suppositories, to be inserted vaginally, for treatment of pelvic muscle spams. My boyfriend has a job that subjects him to random drug testing. If I begin using the Valium suppositories, will having sex put him at risk for a possible positive drug test? Is there anything else I should know/be aware of before attempting sex while using the suppositories? (i.e. Is there a certain amount of time we should wait after using the suppositories before having sex?)
Can Valium suppositories cause a positive drug test for sex partner?

No, he will not show positive on a drug test from your use of the medication and regular sexual contact/intercourse. I would say you probably dont want to have oral sex performed on you after using. There is a possibility he could ingest some of the medication that way. Penis to vaginal contact will not, but oral sex (cunnilingus) could possibly have him show positive on a drug test if they use a very sensitive test. As far as the other questions, I would ask your Dr about how long after using them that you can have intercourse. If you use latex condoms for contraception (birth control) and the suppositories are petroleum based, it can weaken latex condoms so you may need to ask about using another form of birth control.
