I have been on trazodone for 2 plus weeks. It has helped my insomnia. I can't complain as I was not sleeping.
After a week I started breaking out in rashes. It has gotten progressively worse.
Can trazodone cause rashes and do I stop it?

Hi Moreheadmom.
trazodone does have rashes from side effects. I read it usually occurs in females over the age of 60 during the first month of treatment.
I got conflicting info in regards to if it goes away after the body adapts or not.
Bottom line...
See your doctor.
I found trazodone 100mg to treat my severe insomnia.
Best wishes
:-)
HI Moreheadmom-
Sometimes if it is a generic med switching to a different generic may help. You may be having a allergic reaction to the inert additives in the generic trazadone you were prescribed. See if you can ask for a different manufacturer.
But best to do as Masso says and speak to your doctor about the rash.
Have you informed your Dr?
You may be an having an allergic reaction to the AD, contact your Dr. asap.
