I've been on 0.5mg of Rexulti for 3 days for MDD. I was told to take it "before bed". The 1st night I took it at 8pm and was up until 5am, which is very unusual for me. The last 2 nights, I have taken it at 6pm and although it's made me a little drowsy, I've still not been able to fall asleep until between 3:30-4am. I know insomnia is a possible side effect. I'm hoping it will wear off. For those who take it at night/before bed, how long before bed do you take it? If it has caused insomnia, did it eventually wear off?
What time at night do you take your Rexulti?

I use it as an add on to Welbutrin, which I take in the early morning.

Rexulti can cause fatigue and drowsiness which is the reason why your doctor told you to take it at night. It's recommended that you take it at the same time every night. If an earlier time to take it help you to relieve the drowsiness, then take it earlier might be an option. It normally should not cause any problems if you take it at 8pm and go to bed.
Just saw your add-on comment: you are taking Wellburtin as well. Wellburtin is supposed to boost your energy and there is a moderate degree of interaction of Wellburtin and Rexulti taken together in the same day. That might contribute to your insomnia/getting up earlier than usual.
