I just got my first prescription for lamictal starting out a 25mg once a day for 2 weeks, then 25mg 2x a day. I was wondering if its best to started out taking in night or evening or morning . I have t insomnia really bad. would not want to be a sleepy during the day more then I am. i had been taken a cocktail of Natural supplements, which I read I need to stop a few due to drug interactions . Am not sure when I should began taking it. I stop my herbal meds. as i want to aviod any bad side affects. Any advise on best time of day to take it would be help.

I suggest that the first dose of this med be taken in the morning because you need to be sure you don’t develop a rash after taking it... But keep in mind that a rash can develop any time during the first couple years of treatment.
I take it at night as it makes me to groggy during the day
I was on lamictal for 5 years and I took it in the morning without a problem, but as we all say ; we all react differently to meds. Try the morning and see how it goes, trial and error.
