It's been almost a week, the pain in the same. It's not from a cold, my nose doesn't run but I do cough but spontaneously and it's more a dry cough that also hurts.

Could be allergy, change in the weather, infection, or acidflux, you need to see a ENT Doctor get it checked out, they can look in your throat with a scope and culture if needed, lots of things can cause it ,that's just a few, find out good luck to you.
Just because your nose isn't running doesn't mean that you don't have sinus drainage. Drainage going down the back of your throat can cause throat pain plus cause a cough. It would probably be a good idea to go to the Dr and check to make sure you don't have a sinus infection.
