Ive been loosing alot of my hair, since taking Victoza. I had to find out should I stop taking it. Its been a blessing with mt weight loss.
I too am losing hair!!! The only change is that I (was) taking Victoza for some months.
I've been wondering what the cause could be - why suddenly me, someone in my 20's is experiencing such intense hair loss. My hair was Cindy Crawford from the 80's/90's level thick, and now it's become so thin and it's not stopping. Every day clumps and clumps come out. I'm not taking it anymore, and don't want to take it if it is the cause. I came here by asking if Victoza can cause hair loss. So far nothing seems conclusive.
Has anyone managed to reverse their hair loss from this (possible) cause?
Mild hair loss is a side effect of synthroid. It is not a reported side effect of your other medicines.
Talk with your doctor if you are concerned.

i have taken synthroid just about all my life with no problems until recently,i was told synthroid would help keep my hair and eyebrows from coming out.thanks for the info,i will talk to my dr.
I have the same problem. I hate to wash my hair and see how much I've lost anymore.
I am loosing my hair badly because of victoza and I wonder if the top of my head patch will ever grow back.
I stopped taking victoza because the hair on the crown of my head decreased by about one third. Very distressing.
I also take synthyroid, but never had this issue until adding the victoza
Can anyone tell me if the hair loss I am suffering could be related to Victoza, and if so, should I expect it to be permanent or would my hair grow back once this medication is stopped? I am quite concerned about my serious hair thinning... thankfully no bald patches as of now, but my hair is a shadow of itself :( Anyone with information on this? Thank you!
