What happens if a child only takes an antibiotic prescription instead of 4 x for a 6 hourly, the child is given 3 x as the last dosage is at midnight, and he is asleep by then? This prescription is only to prevent secondary infection for hand foot disease.
Not taking medication correctly?

The course of treatment with this antibiotic was prescribed every 6 hours in order to treat the infection/prevention effectively, you must make sure it is this way otherwise the Dr. would have prescribed the antibiotic every 8 hours.
Every 6 hours:
06:00am-12:00pm-18:00pm- 00:00am or;
05:00am- 11:00am- 17:00pm- 11:00pm
Before making any decisions/changes on your own with any prescription medication always consult with your Dr. first.
If in doubt contact the child´s Dr./Pediatrician.
