I did this - I accidentally took 10mg in my morning, which was a double dose - and contacted my hematologist’s office to be safe. We agreed that since I had initially been on 10mg twice a day after I was hospitalized for a DVT/PE, that a 10mg dose was not foreign to me. We also agreed that since the half life of Eliquis is half a day that I should skip my next dosage. Other than that, be cognizant and monitor for any serious side effects.
