Is there any correlation between eliquis and tinnitus. I am experiencing this after taking eliquis?

My tinnitus started about 3 days after starting Apixaban some months ago and has been continuous 24 hours a day since then. I had not suffered from tinnitus before. Likewise dizziness when standing up from a crouch, every time. And occasional persistent low-grade headaches. Plus a peculiar form of not-quite-tiredness tiredness.
Local doctors find it surprising that I claim a correlation between tinnitus and my taking Apixaban and comment that it is better than having a stroke (and surviving, crippled).
I started using Eliquis upon my embolization surgery. The ringing started 4-5 days after. My doctor told me that I can now stop taking the medicine. But I still have ringing in my ears. How long will it last ? I can’t take it anymore. Please share your experience.
I had tinnitus before starting eliquis;however, after two weeks of taking this my tinnitus is louder and faster( it beats with my heart) than ever. I only had to take this for two months following a cardiac ablation for A fib and today is my last day. I will come back and let you know if my tinnitus settles down.
My father is having the same symptoms to a debilitating degree.
I tried one pill and my ears rang for 2 days. It was horrible I could not take it so I stopped taking the drug. I don't know what I'm going to do.
Pls comment and let me know if the ringing ever stops. Mine still ring for 2-3 days a week and it's been 2 months since I quit this drug. Thank you.
Started Eliquis about 3 weeks ago. Now have ear ringing. Muscle aches. Light headed. Exercised one morning after taking dose and almost passed out. Had to sit down. Had to shorten work out. Prior to this just took aspirin. And vitamin e for atrial fibrillation. Doctor put me on Eliquis. Hate it. Planning to stop and save 125 dollars a month.
Hi there.
I feel horrible that I "forgot" to come back-so much has been going on including the fact that I needed another ablation and had to go back on Eliquis for another four months this year.
Sadly, my tinnitus was made WORSE from the Eliquis and while it settled down a "bit", it has remained even more unbearable and I believe that this drug has something to do with it! It's Horrible!! I'm sorry to read that others are dealing with the same issue!

I have a pre existing problem with tinnitus, it runs in my family. When I started on eliquis my tinnitus became way worse, aside from that I am lightheaded all day long. It is horrible, I am trying to get my cardiologist to perform an ablation so I can wean off eliquis. If he won't agree to it I will look for another doctor. I feel bad about this because he is the nicest guy, I just can't stand this any longer.
I had tinnitus before due to eardrum ruptured accident. After cardio version took Eliquis and had muscle aches, joint pains, headaches, ringing in ears, both arms up to shoulder swollen and red, dizzy, and tired. Stopped Eliquis and after 3 months still have severe ringing in damaged ear, dizziness, and headaches. Ibuprofen helps with headaches and dizziness, and to a lesser degree (if at all) lessens the ringing. I never had a blood clot so I don't know why the doc put me on this poison- did not go back to doc again to use me as a Big Pharma Lab Rat.
