I am 76, an Afib patient on Eliquis (5 mg twice daily) and carvedilol (3.125 mg twice daily). I have found a seemingly unusual pattern of my blood pressure readings recently. Learning relevant info will be helpful.
Any correlation between Eliquis and blood pressure?

Hi Shanghai . My wife was in the hospital about 6 months ago for Afib . They put her on Eliquis 5mg twice a day and she was already taking verapamil 125mg twice a day . After two weeks from the hospital , she visited her heart doctor for a follow up and told him about speratic readings with Eliquis and Verapamil . He then changed her verapamil to metproporol 12.5 twice a day and take at the same time every morning and evening . Her blood pressure has been running more stable since. My wife is 67 years old . I myself take carvedilol 3.125 twice a day and olmesartan medoxomil 5mg once a day for high blood pressure , no afib . 70 years old . You should notify your doctor and talk to your pharmacist about it . It is very important to take carvedilol with food . Good luck , i hope this helps , but we are all different when it comes to medications .
