Taking diazepam after taking tramadol yesterday?

I am prescribed both of these drugs, and at higher doses. There is no rule that says you cannot take them together. Obviously, I am prescribed both and my doctors are aware. There are, of course, warnings and possibilities for adverse reactions, and those would be dose dependent. Your significant other is taking a very small dose of Diazepam. Some days, I take 150 mg of Tramadol and 10 to 20 mg of Diazepam at the same time without any adverse effects whatsoever. However, I have developed somewhat of a tolerance to diazepam since I have been taking it for over 10 years. If your significant other is new to these meds, it is wise to be cautious as You are. That being said, I don't see any problem whatsoever with your significant other taking the diazepam. The reason for the warnings are that these are both drugs that affect the central nervous system and anytime you take two or more drugs that act on the central nervous system one should use them with caution, especially until they see how the drug affects them individually. So rest assured your significant other will be perfectly safe taking the diazepam. As to how long he should wait before taking the Tramadol again, he should be fine taking 50 mg with the diazepam or, if one or both of you are not comfortable with that, wait an hour or two.
