How I feel now is so normal that I don't know anything different. I want to stop taking Celexa and see the real me. I'm concerned that I've been taking it so long I don't know how to quit w/o experiencing severe withdrawal. I'm thinking about taking only 10 mg on one day per week for a month and then taking only 10 on two days for an additional month and so on to see what happens. What do you think? Have any of you withdrawn from Celexa?
I've been taking Celexa 20mg/daily for over 20 years. At this point I don't know if it is helping me

Yes, and it went very well. I withdrew under the supervision of my doctor with a tapering dose schedule over 2 weeks with no withdrawal symptoms.
I would advise that you discuss this with your doctor instead of attempting it on own. One drawback of discontinuing is that your original symptoms may return.
However, I've been on my current antidepressant for years and it's been working so well that I believe that this IS the real me.
Best regards and good luck!
