Metoprolol - Does anyone know if you can quarter metoprolol succ ER? I am weaning off?
I am currently weaning off this poison and am currently taking 12.5mg once daily. I would like to wean down to 6.25, then stop completely.
A relative was taking 50mg metoprolol tartrate twice a day for a few weeks to lower his blood...
... pressure. Now his heart rate it’s in the 40’s, told to hold on the medicine till heart rate increase higher than 50. It’s been a couple of days and still his HR is in the 40’s. Any advice or have been thru this? Thank you

... instructions from my doctors! I was on 25 mg for 10 days then to 50 mg. for 3 weeks. Bad reaction so told to do 25 mg for a week then stop. Anyone else suffer this and how were you tapered?
