Latanoprost works very well controlling my glaucoma and it is not listed as ototoxic, nor is hearing loss listed as one of its side effects, however I've noticed a hearing loss in the year that I've been using it.

My doctor did not tell me much in the way of details of the darkening of the eyelids and the growth of the eyelashes... I saw some photos that showed the eyelashes looking very tangled and erratic.

I currently take latanoprost. The pharmacy at my health center supplies it from a company called Akorn in India. I would be more comfortable with a US made product. Should I ask my doctor to switch my prescription to a name brand?
