Latanoprost - I am wondering just how dark the eyelids get. I don't want to look like a sick person?

My doctor did not tell me much in the way of details of the darkening of the eyelids and the growth of the eyelashes... I saw some photos that showed the eyelashes looking very tangled and erratic.

I currently take latanoprost. The pharmacy at my health center supplies it from a company called Akorn in India. I would be more comfortable with a US made product. Should I ask my doctor to switch my prescription to a name brand?

The pt would use latanoprost in the OS and alphagan in the OD. From my understanding the glaucoma is more advanced in the OS. Why would pt be putting one drop in one eye and a diff drop in the other? Is it b/c the glaucoma is more advanced in the OS? Is latanaprost stronger than alphagan?
