Lamotrigine - Body gets used to medication?

Is it just me or does it feel as your body gets use to the medication, then the medication isn’t as effective? For me it feels as my body gets used to a certain dose, then I’ll need to raise the dose to have its effectiveness.

What kind of medicines interact with one another?
