Lee,
Generally you start at 25mg and then work your way up until you reach the level that effectively controls your symptoms.
The most effective dose will vary from person to person but usually is in the range of 50-200mg.
As I remember for me it took 100mg before I really felt the effects.
Thanks wildcat
Is 100mg the dose you are on now?
Tanks
No, I'm taking 100mg twice daily because it's also for my Bipolar disorder and depression.
How are you doing today... any better?
Don't feel two clever only been on it two weeks starting to convince myself nothing will work so desperate for something to work
Thanks for the reply can't get a reply of my doc
Convince yourself that something WILL work. The hardest part is waiting but try not to think of how bad you feel now... distract yourself. Walks, books, movies, hobbies...
Stay optimistic and then think of how good you'll feel soon.
Thanks wild cat
You're a star
Why do they split the doses wild cat?
Because of it's half life much of your last dose is already out of your system before 24 hours. Splitting the dose covers you for a full day and "covers the bases".
I believe there may be an slower release formulation. If so, ask your doctor if it might be appropriate for you.
Thanks
Wildcat did you get a raise in anxiety and aggression when you upped the dose?
Thanks
No, I didn't but I'm lucky in that I rarely have any side effects.
"Common (1% to 10%of users): Depression, anxiety, irritability, nervousness"
It's not uncommon to have new or increased side effects when you increase your dose and they rarely last more than a week or two.
By how much did you increase the dose you're taking and how long ago?
Started 200 on Monday wildcat thanks started having side effects when on 175. Moving up 25 every fortnight
Thanks
