Generalized Anxiety Disorder- I’ve been on antidepressants for over 20 years due to severe anxiety

I’m currently on Lexapro but it’s stopped working and will need to change over. I’ve tried many different antidepressants and the SNRI’s didn’t agree with me. What’s the best antidepressant for anxiety but without the sexual side effects?

Why does it take so long for the meds to work?

Can Cymbalta (or any antidepressants) cause lactose intolerance? My mom thinks my lactose intolerance is related to my starting Cymbalta, but I think it started about 8 months earlier. Can any antidepressants cause that?
