Does Trintellix prevent you from having an orgasm? I had this problem on a very low dose of Duloxetine, I also gained 10 pounds. I am very sensitive to side effects so I’m wondering how others have been effected.

Hi, Ann!
"Genitourinary
Very common (10% or more of users): Sexual dysfunction (up to 34%)"
"Metabolic
Common (1% to 10% of users): Decreased appetite
Frequency not reported: Weight gain"
Most, if not all, antidepressants can cause these side effects in a small number of users but Trintellix is maybe the least apt to cause weight gain. As Tyrese says these may be dose dependent so you'll want to try to find the lowest dosage that controls your depressive and pain symptoms.
Hey, Annmb1234
How long have you been taking Trintellix?
Sexual side effects are common with antidepressants in both men and women, so your concern is understandable. The severity of sexual side effects depends on the individual and the specific type and dose of antidepressant. For some people, sexual side effects are minor or may ease up as their bodies adjust to the medication. Antidepressants work to increase serotonin, thereby causing sexual problems such as:
Sexual dysfunction
Delayed ejaculation
Problem with arousals
