When should I quit spironolactone?

my acne was never chronic but I fear that I’ve gone too far down the rabbit hole to quit now. I’m on 150 mg and have been for one month (9 months of spiro total). Why is it still not working? I am tired of being unable to lose weight and hyperpigmentation. I’m using a tretinoin cream as well!
