I am starting treatment for anxiety. I work in a call centre. Looking at the potential side effects of mirtazapine I wonder if I should start on Friday evening as I don't work weekends. Also need to get my anxiety under control as some days I can't get into work anyway. Not sure what to do!
Starting treatment mirtazapine?

Football fan,
Mirtazapine is good if taken at night as it sedates enough for better sleep. Good idea to start on the weekend. Also, it helps in the appetite department, as I had lost weight due to depression and anxiety. The depression is much improved but anxiety is still present although milder. My PCP prescribed clonazepam to help with the daily anxiety. Hopefully, the Mirtazapine is all you will need. I have been upping the Mirtazapine dosage slowly from 7.5mg. I’m now taking 22.5 mg/night hoping to reduce the clonazepam and gain some weight back. As with all of these meds, they take time to feel effects, but you will sleep better right away. You might experience some memory of dreaming for a bit, but that will fade.
Thank you.
