So, Medical professionals feel free to chime in... I have seen yes, and seen no as an answer to this question. While taking Concerta XL, can you test a positive for amphetamines on a 5 panel drug screen? I was told to tell them I was on the med, in case I tested positive. I didnt get that job, which was just waiting on the drug screen. I dont know what the results of the test were, except I never heard back from the employer. Leads me to think I was positive. Any thoughts?

Concerta is a stimulant, so yes, it will show up in a 5 panel urine screen (which test for Stimulants, LSD, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, and Opiates).

Not necessarily. It may give a false positive for amphetamines, and if so, all that's necessary is for the donor to substantiate use via evidence of a medical script. The MRO will then confirm with the doctor and clear the donor upon verification. Methylphenidate usually metabolizes into PPAA (phenyl-piperidine acetic acid). Adderall, on the other hand, IS an amphetamine.
