I have two shrink wrapped containers of Restasis with the expiration date of 2/2013.
What is the shelf life for Restasis, do I toss after expiration date?

I was told years ago by a pharmaceutical rep, drugs last a year after expiration date. Tetracycline is the only one I know of should not use and toss out. However, i would discard drugs such as Rx eye drops and Antibiotics. Cardiac related meds, use no more than 3 months after exp date. Topicals should not be a problem. Any meds that have changed color do not use, oral or topical. IV meds cannot be used when color of liquid have changed color or expired. I store all topicals in the frig to extend shelve life even after expiration. As always your doctor has the last and final word.
They should be good through the end of February. If this is the expiration date, they will tell you to toss it then, otherwise if anything should happen, it would open them to litigation so they wont tell you anything else. Keep them up until the last day in Feb.
I would say the expiration date is the shelf expiration date, so you would pitch them the end of February, but check with your pharmacist.
I did check with my pharmacist. . . she said check with the mfg. Allergan, which I have been unable to get a response from.
Did you try calling them? 800) 433-8871
