I developed shingles three weeks ago and saw my doctor immediately. He prescribed one week of Valtrex and Prednisone, which I completed. About 10 days ago I noticed a rather large bulge in the right side of my abdomen in front of where the shingles were located. There is really no pain except for the burning sensation of the shingles. I had a CT scan with contrast and nothing was found. I am still concerned and plan to see my Gastroenterlologist ASAP, as I have what he calls a "loopy colon" near this spot and a history of colon cancer in my family. Any ideas as to what this might be?
Shingles and abdominal bulge?

I also experienced the same; a bulge in my abdomen on the side of the Shingles rash.
Thank you for posting. This gave me peace of mind that someone else has had the same experience. ❤️
I also had a bulge on that same side, right, but had it before I got shingles, it looks awful but I did t investigate. I don't think it has anything to do the shingles but of course the skin around the outbreak will be sensitive and numb feeling.
