It's my first time using monistat 1. I used it last night and I thought that it would work over night and I'll be okay to have sex today. Me and my husband had sex and now my vagina feels even more irritated then it did before. Should I restart the treatment? If so how soon.

A vaginal yeast infection is not usually sexually transmitted so it is ok to have sex. The Monistat-1 usually takes 5 to 7 days to relieve the symptoms and it will work regardless of whether you have had intercourse or not. It is normal to find intercourse uncomfortable. Wait for your symptoms to disappear before having intercourse again or if you are feeling sensitive wait for another 7 days.
