... and didn't think about the itching was occuring so I let it go on for a couple days and now taking monistat 7. I just used it about 30 minutes ago, the whole deal, the wipe, the cream, and the anti itch but the itch hasn't gone away yet. I have to sleep for work tonight but can't fall asleep because of this itching. What do I do?

I would call ur dr office and they should have a 24 hr helpline and a nurse will call u back. It is the antibiotic but dont stop taking it untill u talk to them! Also the over the counter yeast infection treatment could of made it worse. Its okay it happens alot. It happened to me. I was on a antibiotic called ciprofloxacin - not sure if i spelled it right but check with your on-call nurse and since u tried everything u could use baby wipes, preferably unscented but regualr wipes are okay . I did and it gave me some relief. Everytime u use the rest room use them. Or for itching . And clothing tight clothes make it worse Dont put any other treatments just call ur dr. And use the baby wipes
Hey seen you didn't have any comments yet and know your desperately seeking advice. There's a few things that you could do that work well from my experience. Number one is coconut oil!! it helped me get rid of yeast infection and bacterial infections that I kept getting back to back. You can even Cube them not quite half full and insert them at night time & or apply as often as needed. You could Also soak a tampon and have it inserted at night. Also you can soak in a baking soda bath(just enough water to soak your va-j-Jay)cool-Luke warm water (yeast feeds off heat) I typically will add about 6 drops of tea tree oil to it also. baking soda helps with cleansing and the itch. Tea tree oil has anti micro antifungal antibacterial properties in it which will help with all of the discomforts from yeast infections. And internally you can also do a few things like cut the things yeast feeds off of. Sugar, carbs, alcohol and heat. Don't use any corn starch like baby powder, but instead if you have to to keep the area dry use the talc baby powder. I wouldn't use a lot or often because of the cancer risk. Don't douche EVER!! It cleans out all the good bacteria and you don't want that because you're infection could go the other way and turn into a bacterial infection. Trust me I know. and also make sure you finish your medication until it's gone, it'll help keep the yeast from becoming resistant to the antibiotics. Also unless you know for a fact that you have a yeast infection do not use any over-the-counter products unless instructed from your doctor. you could give yourself so many more problems taking an antibiotic or medication that you don't need. you don't want your body to become antibiotic-resistant, like mine is becoming. I didn't notice when you ask your question but I hope I got to you in time for you to get some relief.also if you try the coconut oil make sure it's organic extra virgin, unrefined, cold pressed, raw. Thoes are the things you should see on your oil and the organic seal. Good luck
Hey its me again lol I just noticed that you got this yeast infection from antibiotics. That is exactly what is going on with me also. I kept getting reoccurring bacterial infections I have endometriosis I have already had surgery for but needing again. But they kept giving me antibiotics every month and then followed up with Diflucan and/or Monistat. But then also now have reoccurring sinus infections for 8 months that I need surgery for because there's a hole(fistula) from my wisdom tooth extraction in my sinuses so I've been on antibiotics once or twice a month for that. And now I'm getting UTIs and thrush so that's why I was telling you how important it was to take medicine as directed or not if it's needed because it can wreak havoc on your immune system.
I'm in need of three different surgeries but I have Medicaid so it seems like they're not wanting to do it and keep pushing me around from specialist to specialist saying the other one needs to do it but it needs to be done soon so they say. I have one doctor that seems to care a lot and he keeps telling me Amanda you have to stop taking these antibiotics but all my other doctors just keep shoving them on me but if I don't take them I'm going to get really sick. I'm having a lot of trouble finding an antibiotic that will actually clear an infection , just this last time I was on 3 different antibiotics at the same time plus Diflucan. The medical system these days suck. I just wanted to give you a little background on the reason why I know what I know. Always search out natural remedies for things like least infections if you can. oh and I have not used it but I heard a lot of good things about it give Azo yeast a try. And I also found out drinking a buttload of water while on antibiotics will help you from getting yeast & cutting them sugars & alcohol that most of us can't live without! Thank God I don't drink. But boy that sugar is a hard one to cut bc it's in everything!! Wish you the best!!
A lot of good advice from Mandi33.
