I’ve been prescribed 50mg sertraline I’m 20 years old for anxiety. I’m on day 4. My breathing’s been bad, shakes, head feels werid, headache, hot flashes, pure fear. It’s awful. Is all of this normal? The head feeling is werid and freaking me out

If you are still feeling this way, you may be sensitive to SSRIs and may be able to discuss with your doctor the possibility of taking an antihistamine, like hydroxyzine.
Hi—the starter dose pack that Zoloft makes goes:
25 mg for week 1
50 mg for week 2
75 mg for week 3
100 mg for week 4
But not everyone may need as much as 100. So 25 mg is normally given to start. 50 mg Is too much to start out with if you were sensitive to antidepressants. I had to start with 12.5 mg and wait till my anxiety levels off before continuing to 25 mg. Try taking a day off, then ask for 25 mg and either try that or cut it in half and try. Ask your doc which to do. Thx
