I am ready to increase my sertraline dose from 25mg to 50mg I just want to ease towards that dose. I have been on 25mg for 6 weeks and I feel great, but as I lay in bed at night I find myself getting anxiety and every little body pain I feel scares me a bit. Therefore I believe I am ready to be at a higher dose, I am just nervous about going straight for a double dose as the side effects at the beginning of my treatment were very rough for me. Any thoughts/advice/experiences would be very much appreciated. T.I.A
Sertraline - Has anyone split their 25mg tablets to slowly increase to 50mg?

Hey, Pam!
Follow jak's advice... as sensitive as you are I fear doubling your dose could be a bit too much all at once.
Take care!
Hi. Hope you are doing well. I also felt as you did and I split my pills in half to add up to 37.5 for a week, then I moved up to 50 mg, which ended up being a good fit for me. It still takes awhile to level out at the dose that works for you. Good luck!
Hi jakyoga.
Thank you so much for your response. I hope all is well with you too. As far as the level off and side effects go for you, Did you feel that 37.5 helped ease the transition into 50? Or do you feel jumping straight to 50 would have been the same.
I definitely think taking 37.5 for at least 7-10 days helps with the transition and lessons the side effects. Take care.
That is so good to know. Thank you.
