After 10 years taking this SSRI-AD, perhaps as you say it has stopped working or your tolerance levels have increased. Increasing the dosage was the right choice to make along with your Psychiatrist at a certain moment in time.
Regarding the side effects I do understand they can be horrible, but maybe you should stick it out rather than look for another antidepresssant, as you say you are sensitive to meds, and starting a trial and error at this point in you life may or may not be what you must do, what is beneficial for you, obviously discussing this possibility with your Dr.. Now, if by any chance your AD pooped out, it would be time to start looking for the right AD that works for you, remember all of them have potential side effects, not trying to put you down, just reminding you.
