I was given Ritalin for ADHD and it worked the first week, but after 3 days they had to add an afternoon dose because of the crash... Well 3 weeks in it's not working at all ... But I don't understand why it makes me slow down too much and almost dont want to do anything at all, if I don't take it I'm in high gear so bad that everyone around me is telling me to slow down, I don't even know where to start
Ritalin is not working and need advice?

Talk to your doctor. Maybe you need a higher dose? Tolerance can occur after 1 week.
Your description makes it sound like you are on too high a dose. If it's lot lasting all day, perhaps pursue an extended release form of the medication? This is produced under a number of brand names, including Concerta, Biphentin, and Ritalin XR. There are also generic forms of extended-release methylphenidate. Also, if you consume significant amounts of caffeine throughout the day, this can have an impact on the medication, so be sure to share that with your doctor.
Good luck!
