I just started taking Red Yeast Rice per my doctors suggestion for moderately elevated cholesterol. I have read to avoid the "toxic" ingredient called citrinin. This is not listed on the label of the product I purchased, but am concerned that it could be in and not listed. Also, is it better to take the supplement that contains Q-10 ?
Red Yeast Rice - Does the "toxic" citrinin have to be listed on the label ingredients ?
