My doctor just put me on this because I've been really depressed since I had my D&C and I'm ccurious about the way it will make me feel. I know it's an antidepressant but I have 2 other children and I don't want to feel like it's not working so I just want to know is how you know it's actually working.
Prozac - what does it make you feel like?

For me personally when I took Prozac it did help lift the depression as far as melancholy but what I didn't like about it is that I felt apathetic. I didn't care if anything got done .It was like "oh well". The house could have crumbled down around me and I would have been fine with it. My sister had taken it for years though and it's worked really well for her. You need to give it up to 6 weeks for the full effect. It may be perfect for you. I hope so.
i just started on (Prozac) 10 mg and even though I haven't been on it for a month so I don't know the full effects, but as for the 6 days I've been taking it makes me a little to calm, but the best part is I've made it through everyday without crying I have happy thoughts and so far I'm so happy my doctor prescribed me whit this, but I also take (Seroquel) xr 50 mg as well as (trileptal) 600 mgs- for bipolar is this a reason I'm always tired/to calm?
No
It will take a month before you may feel better. Prozac has a long half life. Do you have insurance so you can talk to a therepist it may help you work things out. I hope you start feeling better.
I actually don't have a therapist but I may see of my insurance will cover me seeing one and thank you very much
Hi if you dont have insurance and need to I have been going to cognitive therepy for two years so if you have any quetions let me know, how do you spell quietions
It takes 2-3 weeks minimum to kick in. Initially you may feel a bit "unplugged."
I'm sorry what do you mean by "unplugged"??
It can give a feeling non-motivation, a dulling of thoughts if you will.
I think a dulling of my thoughts would do me a lot of good at this point
Well then it's the right medication for you.
