I’ve been on Prozac for 32 years. Other long-term users, have you noticed it is not helping as much?

Hi, Val!
It's not uncommon for antidepressants to stop working after long term use. There's a even a technical term for it but it's most commonly known as "poop out". No one is sure why it happens but it does.
You can Google "antidepressant poop out" to find out more.
You and your doctor might consider increasing your dosage or switching you to a different medication.
Best regards,

Thank you. Good advice. I'm leery of increasing the dosage because it causes tremors. (I know, depression or tremors... take your pick!) Wellbutrin, when added to the Prozac, caused tremors even worse. Maybe there's something else that would work. I will ask.
