Is a propranolol ER capsule the same as a propranolol hydrochloride tablet?

amy really you should not subsitute one for the other but you do get the same medication but the TABLET DOES NOT LAST THE 12 HOURS WHERE THE CAPSULE IS THE SAME MEDICATION BUT EASIER TO USE BECAUSE YOU CAN TAKE LESS OF THEM. But if you are used to these and picked them up and they are different call the pharmacy and see why they are different if the doctor changed them or if this was an error. you don't substitute one for the other. Call the pharmacy and see what is up.
