Started pregabalin/Lyrica 75mg x2 for horrible crippling anxiety and insomnia 3 days ago. So far have felt a little calmer but anxiety has not gone. Also still not sleeping so well. After reading so many posts on this site saying it's a magic drug that works straight away I am getting a bit worried. Am I expecting too much too soon? Has anybody found it can take a while to build it's affect for sleep and anxiety or should I give up now?
Can it take a while for pregabalin /Lyrica to have full affect?

I take 300mg 3 times a day and it really helps maintain my anxiety and stress extremely well and I like it a lot better than being on the Xanax and feeling like a zombie all day... you might just need to up your dose and keep in mind it does take a little longer to kick in than the Xanax so just be patient and give it time to kick in and you'll definitely start to feel a relaxed feeling. It honestly works wonders for my anxiety and also eases the pain from my carpultunel in my hands so it's actually a multi purpose medication for me. Takes care of my anxiety and the pain in my hands and arms.
Been taking 400 mg/day... for several months... not noticing a big difference... sorry to be so honest.
SO sorry to hear your story!! I take it for polyneuropathy and noticed a difference in about 30 hours. I take 150x2 and it works like a dream for me. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question better - cheers!!
Thanks. The dose I'm taking will be doubled on Tuesday so am hoping that will improve things a little.
Glad you doing so well.
Cool!! Hope that will help and please let me know if it works better, okay?? Cheers!
