Is it possible that escitalopram doesn't take too long to work?

For some context, I'm pretty new to this medication thing and I'm Brazilian. I don't know if that makes any difference but I saw that the pills we take are different. I don't know what else could be different.
I noticed quickly that it's been less than a week and I already feel happier when I take it. Don't know if it's because I can get on good mood without the pill (but it's usually harder for that to happen) or it's just in my head, something like placebo effect.
This question is because I saw that it takes weeks or months to the medication stabilize and I already feel good with mine.
So, is that common? or it could be something else? like, maybe it's still stabilizing?

Hi, cherubstar! Some people do start to feel improvements in the first 2 weeks or so but for others it takes a bit longer. Whatever it is, even if it could be partially due to just being relieved that you're getting this help, if you're feeling happy just enjoy it. It may take 4-8 weeks before the medication becomes fully effective so be patient and keep looking at the good days you're having.
