ever since i took plan b, my periods in the past two months have been much lighter and quite irregular. by much i mean it'll stop and start, it lasts a good 5-6 days. but it isn't enough blood to even fill a liner but it's not spotting either. should i worry?
Plan B - is it normal for my last two periods are lighter?

Hey I know this post is pretty old but I’m going through the same situation now, took plan b in February and my period in march was on time but lighter, I had clots but I kinda had to “push/squeeze” out the blood onto the pad. Now in April, the same thing is happening, I have to squeeze out the blood onto my pad and it’s a light flow, plus it came 10 days early. Did your cycles go back to normal? Thanks for the help
Hey! I’m currently experiencing the same thing I took plan b In August & my period this month is much lighter , it’s never been this light I don’t even pee blood I’m just spotting a little. I’m freaking out...
Hi! Going through the same. I took the pill after I ovulated and now my period is very very light, like noted above. I'm curious with what ended up happening with you all. Hoping to put my mind at ease. Thanks <3
Hey ladies! Just wanted to reassure you, after taking plan B my cycle was messed up for nearly 7 months. My periods came 10-12 days earlier, dark black spotting, barely any blood unless I urinated or pushed it out on my own. I guess my body took a lot longer to return to its normal state after taking the pill. However, just this September, my period started coming on time again, with fresh red blood (sorry for the tmi). It’s perfectly normal again, thankfully. So the advice I can give is to just wait it out, our bodies take longer to adjust to
the pill, but I can almost guarantee you are safe since you did get your period anyway. It’s just going to be a bit wonky for a while due to your body adjusting and going back to its normal state after that huge intake of hormones. I mean mine took 7 months to get back to normal! Stay strong ladies and good luck! :)
Thank you SO much for your update! I didn't realize Plan B was THAT strong where it could mess up your period that much. I guess it effects everyone different. Been reading some comments suggesting so. Thank you again and glad everything's back to normal with you :)
It could be just your body readjusting after the huge dose of artificial hormone in Plan B, but do a pregnancy test to be sure.
thankyou for your reply, i got my period on time the first month after taking it only slightly lighter than usual but i have received my one for this month 5 days early and it was still lighter, my boyfriend has tried to reassure me it's just my hormones levelling out but i can't stop worring ://
I'd definitely do a test as it's possible to still be pregnant but think you're having periods.
Plan B can affect you for a while in some cases. Your bf is right. Best to be sure though.
& you're very welcome x
took two tests, one yesterday afternoon and one this morning. both negative:) just my hormones i guess! so much relief ☺️ hope this helps anyone out going through the same thing cause i couldn't find anything on the internet on lighter periods after taking plan b :)
I'm sure it will help others
