Peptic Ulcer - what questions to ask the patient to asses his illness before dispensing?

Are you asking about dispensing a medicine for treatment of Peptic Ulcer or some other condition?

Get medication history.
Has he/she been to the doctor regarding his/her symptoms?
What is he/she taking currently to ease the symptoms?
If he/she is on any medicine and is it helping him/her.
Is there any current bleeding obvious in stool?
Any vomiting with blood in it?
Does the patient have any other medical condition/s?

And do suggest that the patient see the doctor if they haven't been already or if there is any complication.
